From the research I've done, it appears this business is legit and a great way to make money if you know what you are doing.

Kris Krohn got into some legal issues in 2012 with the SEC, but if you read the actual complaint, the SEC makes it appear as though Kris Krohn is unethical, and their real estate deals were not profitable.

Online Auction Sites - Realauction.com, LLCYes you're right, but it's not the only one, there are other platforms depending of the state and the tax lien type (e.g. redeemable has a specific platform), some county has his own system, finally, the main difficulty is to be updated on all upcoming auctions and retrieve the lists to do the research.There are no other platforms for the counties appearing on the Realauction web site. 

Most buildings of this size often only appear on the website of the listing brokerage. 

I did consider paying for another appraisal but after looking at several comps it appears it most likely would be a waste of time and money.
