:) While it certainly makes everyone feel better to think that illegal immigration is having a major impact on crime rates (we hate to think good 'ole Americans are the main problem), statistically, it's not clear that immigrants (either legal or illegal) raise the crime rates in this country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_the_United_States#Crime And if your argument is that MORE PEOPLE = MORE CRIME on an absolute basis, that's correct...but then you would have to support laws that reduced population and/or the birth rate in this country as well.

Not you Bill, but everytime I have ever listed a job on craigslist and looked up prospects, that ole domestic abuse charge always pops up.

Of course there will be expenses over the years for maintenance, property management ect , but in the short term on paper you are cash flowing a nice ROI.Show your wife the numbers take her for a nice Sunday drive past the ole rental property (strategically forget to mention that it might need a new roof in 5 years) and voila she might just hand you 20K next time. ;-)
