I am taking a salesperson license exam this year to get into the industry and use these commissions toward closing costs.

Now, I’m rebuilding my portfolio while continuing to help others buy and sell homes.

I purchased a 3 family in Newark NJ in March of this year, and am curious about looking into this form of insurance as a way to further protect myself.

Jacob,The advice you are getting from this guy who is "in lending" is very vague and is not covering all of the fine lines that manufactured home financing requires.

If it is a contractor that is more organized they will likely do this already, if they are shooting from the hip "based on experience" they will likely just give you a total $ value. 

Most of us had to be this ourselves (with a little help from our investor agents, where applicable).
