The big benefit I have in my handyman portfolio is that I am either laying the tile or closely supervising the job as it's done by people whom I've personally trained.That's part of how I've come into this business, as a handyman investor with quite a bit of prior experience in laying tile.My portfolio is also almost completely occupied by health care professionals, who in general are trained to appreciate the advantages of ceramic tile as a sanitary surface.

Or, hey, if they want to keep you on 1099, then you need a 30% pay raise relative to what you'd be getting for similar work/experience/etc as W2 since you need to fund you rown retirement/healthcare/etc/etc. 

Major industries include healthcare, banking, factory/warehouse type jobs.Rents can be as high as 1600 plus in areas of Rocky mount, so you can have the entire spectrum. 

I've had challenges with lenders, insurance companies, even healthcare providers.
