I thought about telling them before I was going to donate the farm to Habitat So they could build 14 houses on it.

Maybe give the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Oakland a call regarding their stock of cabinets/doors... might be worth a trip out there.

The major work needed to make them habitatable is: enclose them by installing windows, frame up a bedroom in one unit, add flooring, kitchen and bath cabinetry, electrical & plumbing fixtures, basic appliances, and one unit would need private egress.   

Homes are so close to the protected habitats that the city has higher restrictions and accountability in a sense.

My thoughts on this are not directed at anyone person or company or how they operate its simply the tenant base.. its non predictable at best and horrid at worst... so long term its just tough.And 500.00 a door simply does not generate enough gross cash flow to maintain these homes over a long period of time  cap ex will kill them... at least at that price point.. one needs 750 rents in those markets minimum is my advice for anyone who asks me. my message on BP has been consistant  low end C class has risk that most beginning investor simply don't know or understand especially if they are from high priced areas like CA or upper east coast.If you look at turnkey reviews you will see plenty of C class its America and everyone has their right to do what they want to do.I have given over 20 homes away to Habitat in these areas..

Some ideas for you while is school:- start a real estate club in your school or financial - join (or start) your school’s Habitat for Humanity club.

I'm finding other refurbished stuff, but not in my location...I've called all the used appliance places around me and none have stock (including Habitat for Humanity Restore).  

Before construction can resume, the tortoises must be caught and relocated to a new habitat.

I spent a few bucks at the habitat restore & one day inside the house fluffing it up (with the listing agents permission) & it appraised in "above average" condition.

Non-profits are exempt from the regulations, specifically stating Habitat for Humanity or similar housing organizations.
