Unable to install hardwired so looking at 10 year battery models.I’ve browsed Amazon and Home Depot and - while there are many options, the pricing is just mind boggling.

I get about a year out of the batteries in the Schlage.

I know people that use that time to not only check the condition of the property, but also to change the furnace filter, replace CO2, Smoke alarm batteries.

It also has a CO detection shutoff which is important but changing/recharging the batteries for the remote ignition was tiresome. 

Ring tends to do this a lot; anytime leaves blow in a different direction it sends a notification lol but there is a way to adjust the settings for Ring so that it isn't destroying your phone's battery or filling up your notification center with too many notifications).

Not sure if it was disabled because the battery needed to be replaced or if it was disabled at a time of a false alarm. 

Personally I like the ones with the built in batteries - saves tenants from themselves when they don’t change the battery. 

Several tool boxes with wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, socket sets, flashlights, spare batteries, nuts and bolts, screws, electrical repair parts, multimeters, copper/pvc/galvanized plumbing repair materials. 

Each owner/client has a vetted resource I have provided who does the physical inspections, changes AC filters, changes out smoke detector batteries when scheduled, and documents any repairs/improvements/issues.

This also gives you the opportunity to inspect the property in general, but batteries in smoke alarms and CO detectors.
