Jacobus, I don't personally have experience, but I keep abreast of the industry in other parts of Europe and Australia.  

I just did a deal with some buyers from Australia and before they came over I took photos of the property, took video and also drove around the neighborhood and filmed it so they can get a good idea of the area.

As an accountant in Australia, I cannot recommend Xero highly enough.

All these investors were in Australia.

Data is mixed throughout the USA but Canada, Australia and some parts of developed Asia are already on the decline.

On the other hand, even the poor in the US are rich by the standards of most of the world, Western Europe, Japan, Canada and Australia excepted.

., while I respect your historical returns in NY (I've received similar phenomenal growth in Melbourne, Australia during those same years), I personally wouldn't be recommending buying in Melbourne TODAY (2017) unless you didn't care about the hemorrhaging of hundreds/thousands of dollars every month to buy there ie. many more dollars than if you just rented there.
