A guru seminar can cost you a couple of grand, those books cost me like 30 bucks and a trip to the library.  

I forgot to put my price range in.I can be anywhere from 50- 120k depending on the property, cash deal. poI have noticed the few properties I liked have either sold to fast or are just out of my price range.We did a quick trip through GR recently and I obviously loved heritage hill and and the areas around eastown near fuller and wealthy st.I prefer to be in a very walk able area with a hip younger crowd even if it is considered not a great area.Thanks for the the advice about Tenets and not taking on someone elses headache.

It is close-in to the downtown core, above average rents, can bike into the core easily, or grab the light rail for a 5 min trip, etc.

I don't have to worry about not taking trips to be here to lease them out.  

After about 1.5 months and a million trips to lowes, menards, and home depot we finally got everything finished.

But we’d like to enjoy some weekends there for ski trips etc and enjoy it.When I said Airbnb’s were vacant, I didn’t mean entirely, I mean just looking around the site, wasn’t much more than every other weekend.

Another scam that is going around CL is people lifting your photos and info and running their own ad for your home.They are generally based out of the country and are doing "God's" work - they got called out of the US on a missionary trip and had to leave their home - so if you mail them the rent and security deposit they will mail you a key to the home and you can stay there until they come back to the US in a few years.I have found several ads for my homes up on others CL ads - I have started to watermark all my photos with a phone number or a website address.

I am planning a trip to Detroit, Michgan and while I'm there I would like to check out a few properties.
