See two below if you want to work with someone relatively local  - the firm I am with is based in Portland, Maine and I have had a few colleagues who have gone to the below firms while pursuing a smaller firm environment which have a small business focus, very good reputations, and are on the Maine seacoast.  

Until something shows me otherwise I need to hedge my bets based on that.

Looking for a real estate attorney to review a contract I have with a federal entity, basically, I need an attorney to interpret it based on the law. 

My job traveling doing specialty commercial construction is contract-based - meaning sometimes I work for a few hard months and then have a month or so off between projects.

Thanks for the info- I am happy to get up in front of the room and say where I would and would not live based on the crime- I am not a licensed Realtor, nor do I hold any type of RE license.  :-)  That being said, we can discuss the issue as desirable places to live instead.Either way I think having some Realtors hold a meeting in one of their offices, and having whoever wants to join (including other Realtors) would be beneficial to a lot of people here.
