I think the largest challeneg as you put it will be to get someone for the rehab that is reliable and timely, a lot of times those things do not go direct with one another.

I would like to keep the door from the basement to the upstairs (my living space) locked and they can only enter through the basement door.

Ask them open-ended questions until they say something crazy, like needing me to help them find "reliable transportation" or security for their kids.
