Contractors where I am easily place liens against property for unpaid debts, but that’s not a “plan” it’s a loss.

Hello, I am curious how do you guys find out about if this area is good place to rent or not?

So, there's some things that might need to happen to get the loan in the first place. 

That said, I still think Florida is a great place to invest.  

For free resources and data, websites like the, FRED, Statistica, YCharts, Trading Economics, and Local government or chamber of commerce are great places to start.

If you do the cash for keys, do it on the condition that the place is left in good condition and do NOT hand over any money until you inspect the unit and get the keys.

That would cover any screwups, but also incentivize the title company to remedy the situation without making a claim, since it appears to be their oversight that caused the issue in the first place.
