That is, what we want to know is whether they will pay rent (and be respectful tenants) not so much whether they will pay off a car loan or credit card every month (though that is always preferable)...The credit profiles are data driven and can be predictive of rent paying, but remember while it is great if people pay their consumer, student, and other debt, we want to know if they will pay the rent (so probe rental history closer).

I assume you have already impressed quite a few folks with your willingness to learn and hard work ethic. 

It was my impression that the programs that cost that much gave you access to lenders and mentors to guide you through the process.
