I know that South Bend is a bit outside of the Chicago area and there may be a better forum for this, but hasn’t anyone explored this area?

All of us want to be explorers or adventures at some level and real estate is alluring but strip the emotion from it as best you can and do what makes SENSE to you based on what you know of yourself, your abilities and the advise you get here.In my part of the country, multi-fams tend to be in certain areas. 

Then do a deep dive on those properties to explore those specific areas and the rents those assets command.
