Faisal, good questions, I think the answer is simple - experienced property manger will / should win out in this challenge, I do not think it maters if you are in your immediate area yourself as the landlord or you are a long distance landlord.

@Sean Kollee - The house hacking was a big win for me as I was able to pay down my house in the 4 years with my roommates paying the majority of the mortgage and me making double-up/lump sum payments throughout the time.
