I think a contractors mindset , to the view of an investor, could open up the realities of what must happen to get from point "A" to point "B"on a deal.

I view it as a distinct pot of money that shouldn't be unplugged, and loans against a 401k are bad news, especially if one gets fired, laid off, etc. 

Try planting trees that will eventually block the neighbors backyard from your view.

We set up a viewing for the next day BUT the tenant required 48hrs notice……the next day we viewed the vacant side, and then when our realtor left, we knocked on the door of the other unit any kindly offered $50 to take a quick peek.

I just have a different view as a broker and an investor where I can see both sides of the coin.

It is most definitely allowed to have them with you while viewing a property on the MLS. 

I had someone view the apartment yesterday and during the showing he told me that he was actually looking to rent the apartment for his business.
