We're in a situation where we're trying to buy a SFR (we plan to turn the walk-out basement into a separate apartment to rent out, while we live upstairs).

How would I find sellers or buyers for their apartments, houses, or condos?

You will need to work with them for inspections.

Today I went back to the apartment to check up on things and I noticed that the pay or quit notice that I put on a door had been removed so I know someone has been there inside but I do not know if it was him or maybe a friend of his that has access to the apartment.

They are held onsite so you get to inspect the property before the auction.

Have seen it in a few 1980's wood frame apartment buildings as well as new construction apts.Kevin, Have you used gypcrete?
