Ensure your lease has language saying that all vehicles parked on the premises must be currently registered and insured, that vehicles can only be parked on the driveway, in the garage or on the street (as applicable), that boat, ATV or RV parking on the premises is not permissible without express written consent.

Then there are things as annoying as using the grant deed for California that came with the course from the famous attorney REI educator over there in the Rockies, only to find that it wasn't recordable because the recording law had changed the language two years earlier.
