You are likely overpaying by $5,000.Broker fee of $3,000 and Processing Fees of $2,000 seem out of place...but then again, i never used a broker to get a loan so I am not sure about that.If the broker was able to get you an interest rate or loan product that you wouldn't be able to find on the open market...its high, but likely fair.if you are getting a loan product that you could have gotten by going to a normal bank...seems high and unnecessary.

I would notify her in person and in writing (big note on her door) including quoting the clause in the lease where she is responsible, and tell her you will be inspecting to insure the heat remains on, high enough to protect your unit, or she will be breaking the terms of her lease and also liable for any damage done in the downstairs unit as well.

Loan amount is essentially unchanged since the loan is just under 2 years old.I thought the lending process was absolutely obnoxious last time around so I was wondering if anyone had any good referrals or recommendations.
