Ideally you get both: cover most of your housing costs today, and it will cash-flow once you move out under your desired strategy (short-term rental, long term rental, etc.).

Think on things like the property's quality, prospective value, and desirability to tenants.Making use of an FHA loan with a small down payment is a wise choice.

For those who have scaled to a company that is fully operational and scaled to the level you have desired how did you avoid scaling too fast?

My partner and I now find ourselves in a strong financial position to start our RE investing journey and have set our sights in New England, specifically Rhode Island due to the excellent natural environment and our desire to ultimately relocate there long-term. 

I want to be of value and gain value from this community, I am here mainly from my desire to realistically create a passive income over the next decade or so.
