I manage commercial units in a 9 story Buckhead residential building off of Pharr Road and they allow rentals but the building is older and you will find a correlation in rental restrictions and newer properties. 

@Gil Levy I recently completed rezoning a project from I-1 (Light Industrial) to C-1 (Community Business District) in Sylvan Hills and built 3 story Triplex.

When these scripted, fake, programs don't tell the true story of how the projects go, everyone and their brother want to jump in and make some of the millions, getting their piece of the glory that is television life. 

I have heard so many stories about this people accessing properties and starting to place so many no sense violations.

Yes, there are nightmare stories but the majority of investors don't have problems - the ones who bought going way back to the 1970's and 80s and those that got deals in 2008 (and didn't sell in panic and have to foreclose) have achieved incredible appreciation and wealth.
