Often dog bites need to be reported to the local Animal Control (if you had gone to the ER with that bite they would have contacted Animal Control who would have, at the very least, confirmed the dogs' rabies vaccination was up to date or confined the dog at the owners expense until blood work for rabies status was confirmed). 

During the winter that would really confine someone to a small space which isn't an issue in warmer climates. 

I'm aware of the multitude of websites offering the service such as Cozy and TurboTenant but I'm wondering whether I can do it myself.

I'm currently using Cozy listing and my agent used zillow to aggregate to all the other sites.  

You'd have to work with the layout of the cabinets... but that might help it not look so enclosed and confining.

I had not heard of Cozy before.

Cozy allows expenses to be added and tracked when away from the computer and allows for rent, screening, and application management when away from the computer and quickbooks.

I found the agent world to be to confining.

I've looked at Cozy, Zillow Rental Manager, PayPal (just for collecting rent), and a few others.
