As car as crime in a neighborhood goes, KC is weird because the dynamics of a street might be pretty bad but one more block over could be a great crime free area.  

Cash invested: $21,000 I am restoring a 1911 sleeper car as a short-term rental (Airbnb/Vrbo) on property along Route 66 in Central Illinois.

It took us months and several realtors telling us we were unrealistic, we found a 4 lot property, with an oversized 4 unit multifamily building, and 4 detatched car a garages on one lot and a parking lot on another, totalling over an acre near a downtown on an appreciating city and a minute and a half off the exit to the highway.We could use more ideas to add value to the property in the least expensive ways, as this property has so much room for potential.

There is nothing for them to pull out as your vehicle is not worth more than what you paid for it.Normally you would be able to take out a personal loan using your car as collateral, but it doesn't sound like this is something any bank is will to do for your right now.
