Drug users and alcoholics are not a protected class so discriminate all you want-they may however belong to a real protected class-veteran, gay, lesbian etc- don’t overlook that!

Would be looking for moderate cosmetic repairs such as new appliances, basic kitchen rehab (cabinets, backsplash), new vanities in the bathrooms, paint (interior and exterior), and if the budget allows some basic landscaping to give the house some curb appeal.Also, if you're able to recommend some good contractors in Bridgeport I would greatly appreciate it.

If it hasn't great I would still get a flood insurance policy because the government subsidizes flood policies that are in areas the are consider low to moderate.

@Or Y. well, on the one hand you are correct - higher dp means more secure cash for the bank, but it also means they make less in interest so you can see why their ideal situation is a moderate downpayment with a high loan balance and long term from someone they know can afford to repay the loan plus allllll that interest.
