But we have minor league baseball and hockey, college basketball, baseball and football, 2 drive in theaters, 2 lakes, 2 malls, multiple golf courses, country clubs, 2 skating rinks, an ice skating rink, museums, orchestras, theaters, some amazing parks, and tons of great food - all within 5 - 30 min away. 45-60 min away you have Amish country, major league baseball, basketball and football, Lake Erie, casinos, 3 airports, etc.

I am not in that league so I have to be happy paying the point.:)

It feels a bit unnatural to step in the big(ish) leagues, although I did do 2 SFR for a few years to ride out the 2008 downturn in the RE market.

It can just come across like wet blanket to folks who are hoping one day they have time to coach their kids little league.  

If you want to show your virtue go coach Little League, volunteer at church, humane society etc.  

It's literally like a kid playing T-ball being compared to a major league player.

If it is an Ivy league MBA then you can get a high paying consulting gig out the door.

Google is constructing a google data plant which will lead to 75-100 high tech jobs, Toyota-Mazda plant which will employ roughly 4,000 (laborers to mid level managers), minor league team moving to Madison (part of the metro), and over 4,000 FBI positions are relocating to Huntsville over the next 10 years.
