Younger people today aren’t afraid of investing in any country worldwide.  

And that they ere defeating the purpose of the program, to bring in wealthy people to improve the country financially...I love Portugal though, such a nice country and not ruined by tourists.

It is on the boarder next tourist areas and the island.

@Yezenia HernandezI started with pre-construction short-term rentals in the Riviera Maya, since it's Mexico's and one of the world's main tourist destinations and so the profitability has been very high there.

You would pay us corporate tax rate, but the retained earnings could remain in the company and not be repatriated to Canada.If you are moving to the U.S.A. and will not be keeping a presence in Canada, then once you move you should not be paying Canadian tax on your world-wide income.

I would pick a major tourist destination where it wasn't saturated with STR's already.That would take some research but you could google top vacation destinations and find a place you would go on vacation.

I live in a VERY high demand tourist area with lots of rental properties and I have been working in property management for 5 years. 2 years ago, I ventured out onto my own because I was pregnant and wanted to work from home and stay with my baby.

But areas with expensive real estate, that everyone knows is a great tourist area, is not the best option right now.  

DT Long Beach: beachy urban setting with smaller units 1bdr; close to tourist attractions, and thinking I can STR one unit; BUT high crime rate (90 percentile); properties are older but more attractiveIs it better to go into a slightly better neighborhood in boring Riverside or a more crime ridden area of cool kid Long Beach?
