Historically used online software without much issue.Now that I'm looking at the settlement statements from 2004 and looking at a sizeable depreciation recapture hit, I came across a number of questions / issues:1) I believe in 2010 I incorrectly set my basis (I did not include the parking space and upgrades to the units - granite, flooring, etc.).

One thing to note- the building is older (built in 1922), is considered in a historical district, and although each unit has been fully renovated, I have not upgraded all the electrical/roof and plumbing, so that's on the older side which I know is more challenging to get insured...

It's a cluster, with months of uncertainty, and in my case 10s of thousands of dollars, because we had to upgrade the septic to accommodate the fourth unit, as if it wasn't working already.
