Original hardwood floors, trim, arched doorways, and handsome, functional, fireplace help maintain the original character of the home.

Immediately started making minor improvements, due to hurricane season decided to remove one tree and trim a huge oak tree at the other location. 

If we are remodeling for resale we usually do the trim and doors white and the walls something else.

All the trim needs to be repainted and recaulked everywhere.

Trim the tree?

I acquired the four-plex with varied levels of updates, but would need/want to paint cabinets, paint doors, trim, walls; if carpeted, replace carpet with LVP; replace faucets with modern faucets, etc.

Is paint enough or is all the trim rotted? 

After moving out, we re-stained the front porch posts with a darker stain (photo is pre-stain), replaced the front door, did touch-up painting on walls and trim, installed new keyed-alike locks on front/back door, and installed a vented bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't there prior. 

There’s a BIT of contrast with the black window trim, although we may have been able to do more with the garage door.Thank you for the input!!

The price of used vehicles is still nuts-What I paid for a new one was a little bit less (~$100-500) LESS than a 1-2 year old one-same make, model, level of trim.
