The next targetAs the IRS and the others ramp up their safeguards, identity thieves are now targeting tax professionals, human resource departments and payroll officers to get more data – such as copies of W-2 forms – to put together more authentic-looking tax returns that will slip through the defenses.The group is working to alert those professionals as well as continuing to warn taxpayers as well.

Is that a problem in your area, where you have a group of savvy thieves out there? 

@Skye Anderson during the depths of the Great Recession scrap thieves were doing this all the time in all kinds of neighborhoods.

These thieves only broke one tiny basement window.

The deviousness and ingenuity of employee/thieves is an incredible thing to witness. 

These thieves conduct military-like raids on facilities, stealing the plants and attempting to destroy the irrigation and lighting systems. 

They also broke a patio window and left the house open to the rain and possible thieves for 2 weeks without telling me.  

Down to what I see these days were you have total scammers and felons and thieves trolling BP..

Are there legal issues with doing this, rather than getting a commercial account from those thieves at Verizon?

Plenty of squatters and thieves prowl neighborhoods looking for empty homes.
