Selfishly I wanted to cut down on the amount of posts I responded to by posting my own. 

I had a dream, which was not all a dream.The bright sun was extinguished, and the starsDid wander darkling in the eternal space,Rayless, and pathless, and the icy earthSwung blind and blackening in the moonless air;Morn came and went—and came, and brought no day,And men forgot their passions in the dreadOf this their desolation; and all heartsWere chilled into a selfish prayer for light:And they did live by watchfires—and the thrones,The palaces of crowned kings—the huts,The habitations of all things which dwell,Were burnt for beacons; cities were consumed,And men were gathered round their blazing homesTo look once more into each other's face...

Be selfish with them that's okay as long as your giving back along the way.  

(and my grandson didn't ask) Point being: Don't think just because someone is a billionaire that they are generous good people, nor think all billionaires are selfish and cold hearted.

In the light of these I think your “ZZZ Company” are not selfish, they are not trying to nickel and dime investors.

I feel like this should be prefaced  with the fact that I understand the nuisances cranes/construction cause via traffic and everything else (I, too, live in UTC).That said, I think those who incessantly complain about the issue and seek legislative change to stop it are almost always some combination of selfish, shortsighted, and/or stupid.Typically speaking, you should not mind cranes or construction in areas where you invest for a few reasons - I’m not sure that environmental variation is among the most important/obvious.What is obvious, though, is the fact that cranes/construction are pretty good evidence that you’ve placed yourself in the path of progress.

I guess at the core the real problem is selfish greed and blatant dishonesty.

in fact i feel so uneasy about the oil and gas situation here that i have built up over a $6m portfolio in r/e in los angeles instead of houston while renting an apartment in houston...i only recently bought a small house here and a duplex... all in my exposure in terms of real estate is less than 300k out of 6m.i really do wish you all the best and hope you get it sold at a great price and hope that i am dead wrong about this city for my own selfish reasons  but i absolutely dont think the luxury market has legs in this city without some pain first.

Call me selfish, but I almost want us NOT to talk about this. :) I don't know why we keep pitching Rochester to everyone else in the country.

I know their despair and I never want anyone to think that they are alone in this world .i tried being selfish but I can't leave my friends alone .
