Is this credit union reputable?

Not to say that you'd pick crappy materials, but contractors with experience have manufacturers and suppliers that they know guarantee their products and that helps them know they can stand behind their work. 

If that is the case then I would say yeah work with an agent who has a solid reputation either here or from a friend referral.

Obviously, if you are just looking for LTR's there is a bit less risk there.If you're going to do it, make sure to fully vet your team tooth and comb and ensure they have a reputation worth something to them.
