I have heard so many people in the real estate and financial independence fields recount stories about financial advisors giving really poor advice that I tend to shrug off things like this as coming from someone who is outside their area of expertise.

I've definitely had my share of heartburn and adventure on my journey, but hey, those are just war stories to recount when I'm old and gray.

When my wife returned home she recounted the experience and I called my contractor and asked him if he would be comfortable having someone else complete the upcoming window installation we were planning in the tenants unit and he said he would arrange something with another trusted person.

Once you're in the counter, re-counter cycle...I usually offer 3 options in an LOI.  3 methods of purchase with 3 very specific offer amounts.
