With my parents in real estate investing, I've learned a lot about the industry.

Last thing thougt of is have a little box of books and toys for little kids parents always appreciate it. 

These I have found are real, striving parents, working their butts off to provide the best housing and school system for their children.My ethos in this approach is exactly why we at LaPlante refer to them as Residents, as we consider "Tenant and Landlord" to be dated terms and rife with negative emotion.

As someone who had a parent pass away and had a family member getting blasted with text messages with offers to buy their home after this - I can see also the side of it that is "leave them alone".

My parents had a 3 family growing up and I used to hate going there on weekends but I learned a lot and it obviously stuck with me.

Money will come from different levels of government, private donations and insurance companies. 

When parents employ their minor child, the child is exempt from Social Security and Medicare (aka FICA) - if under 18.

Account Closed Hi Rhonda, If honest I spent about $8,000, some say its a lot, (my parents did) some say its small when compared to many programs out there, either way I took a leap of faith and saw the potential it had for my future.  

It currently only has four units rented, although I would like to turn the 5th unit into my own, so that I can move out of my parent’s house and “househack” for a little.

Parents couldn't care less.
