I just cant believe that these people "Scam Artists" have found another way to do the ole' "Lottery Scheme".

Think lottery winners, pro athletes, rock stars.

So we are in the process of getting the lien release voided, and figured I would also reach out the prior servicer, which is still in business, to see the payment history, as my research showed they modified the loan in October, 2010, and they both signed it, so she was back on the hook, and they stopped paying in June of 2012, 19 payments later, so I figured unless she won the lottery, she did not pay it off. 

Are his files organized in one of those rotating lottery ball machines, crumpled up?

Hi BPers, after waking up from the megamillion lottery dream.

Initially I just thought real estate investing was something interesting to muse about if I ever win the lottery or get laid off; I didn't think it was possible to learn enough about about where to get started and how to avoid the pitfalls while keeping up with the 24/7ish demands of my work and family.  

Investing in real estate or playing the lottery were my 2 choices and Investing in Real Estate was the obvious choice (although I still by a ticket every now and then LOL) How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

At least it has a better chance than winning a lottery. 

I have no desire to lose money monthly to gamble on appreciation, if I want to gamble I'll buy a lottery ticket.  

Assuming a $100K build/permitting budget, and 80% occupancy once it's done as an AirBNB rental, it "should" yield me almost 10%, and be a possible condo candidate in 2022 when the lottery opens again.The question is, what pitfalls aren't I seeing here?
