If there's a family member or friend in a similar situation, and you can both align on the initial plan (location, home type, price, usage/occupancy, etc) you can pretty easily get a co-ownership agreement in place and even a joint mortgage.The benefit here is it might open up your ability to buy a larger place in a nicer area which could lead to a faster rate of appreciation and overall better living environment.

That is like trying to sell a tofu burger to an animal rights activist having to disclose that the building attached to your tofu burger joint is a slaughterhouse you also own where they slaughter baby cows, and using the exact knife that slaughtered the cow to cut the tofu.

U may want to talk to your account rep and get a clarification of this. whole notes it appears they do assign 100% interest to the investor .. and in my mind that is the safest way to do these.

U invest in the fund and there is no debt ahead of you you own the debt free and clear the only risk is they buy the wrong debt and the underlying collateral does not support the investment.. which is why you go with folks that have a lot of experience in the space and now how to value the collateral.
