What distinguishes most real estate investors isn't their abilty to do better, more rigorous, financial analysis of the real data than anyone else could, it's that they have the guts to pay for the real data or get it the hard way, and the gusto to leap over the edge and buy with imperfect information.

The base and shoe will cover any imperfections.

It's not too dark and not too light (and hides lots of minor imperfection in older wood).

It's durable, floats over slight imperfections, and easy to install.

But of course you can still see imperfections sealed into the poly.

It is also my understanding that assets contributed to the corporation are contributed at cost basis, but if withdrawn, they are withdrawn at FMV which may create a taxable capital gain for the taxpayer.My understanding may be imperfect, but these issues certainly bear further examination.

Remember that "not selling a property" is in many ways the same as deciding to "buy the property".I know this is an imperfect analogy due to sellling costs and tax issues, but the point is that you should evaluate every investment you own continually, considering its current market value and yield, and ask yourself if you'd purchase this asset at its current market value.

He strips the tub down with acid and will fill in any imperfections with fiberglass.
