You need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and suck up your pride. 

If you buy a turnkey property, you'll achieve lower returns than buying something that requires the investor to come in, roll up their sleeves and put in some work.

I have a set of long-sleeve shirts with holes in them for winter and a set of short-sleeve shirts with holes in them for summer.

This property came complete with all the headaches and challenges that come with rolling up your sleeves and gettin' it done!

The way I see it, I can either roll up my sleeves and learn how to obtain a large amount of business credit for myself, or I can hire someone who has the expertise already.

It’s definitely possible, but you either need  the ability/willingness to pay easily $1M+ If you want to be in a B or better neighborhood or you have to be fine with living in areas like Richmond or Oakland and rolling up your sleeves on a major value add deal.

On the other hand, roll up them sleeves, find a broker to help you locate a condo in a good location that is rentable, and jump in the game that way.
