But, it may not offer the ROI as other locales, and it may not be "fun" like buying in a favorite vacation spot.2 - The highest ROI folks - Self explanatory, will go where ROI is high and/or regulation low.3 - The second home/retirement minded - These people are looking for minimal ROI but want the house in a specific location because they like to use the property and want it to pay for itself.

It's not as big as New Britain, Hartford, and New Haven, but it does have a great little main st with restaurants, and the walkability that young people like, while being centrally located for people who want to get around the state for work or fun.

Unless this is a place you want to go hang out, it is for fun, not an investment.

Plenty of STRs that perform just as good as the pool STRs because they have a great design, location, or other fun amenities that have less liability and headache.

Plus, we like to make it fun so there will be 2 evening events, in addition to all the daytime sessions.

So as long as someone gets realistic with the TRUE cost to  own and maintain and the numbers work it can work but I am a big proponent if your going to have these types of assets they need to be paid for to really enjoy any financial benefit.lastly I can say the same thing about new builds.. over the long haul unless there is REAL appreciation more than just 2 or 3% if you sell within say 10 years your going to be lucky to break even as your going to have to spend 20 to 30k making the houses fresh again to get top dollar a 10 year old rental is not going to bring top dollar and the value at that point will only be what an investors will pay for a given cash flow..

Once you have ran through about 3 months or so of this and penciled out 50-100 deals for fun, I would talk to a local agent and start the process of looking.
