I'm a foreign national living in Ghana, and I have some knowledge about Real Estate, though I have little experience.I would love to have a partner who could go in with me, to put up any cash that might be needed. 

PS Rochester and Buffalo were ground zero for much of this stuff also there were groups buying those homes for 10k packaging them up and selling them for 80k to investors from England. the city / state finally cracked down on that and there was some folks that got in trouble on the criminal side of it.. you can google it.. wont mention names but you can find it if you dig deep enoughBut this is nothing new.. buying hood rates for pennies and selling them for dollars to foreigners and unsuspecting out of state folks. 

To intentionally reduce the leverage more than required is a foreign concept to me especially in the San Diego market.  

We travel for work (healthcare) and chronically live out of MTRs, so it will be our first time operating a shorter term, but won’t be an entirely foreign situation to us.

its one thing to take a month in Italy on vacation and its another to live in a foreign country.. not that it cant be done.. but for me.. ya give me the good OLe US of A  LOL  Living overseas is a huge adjustment.

Rodrigues is an awesome LOCAL lender, who works a lot with foreigners.

I offered to buy the property from the $28B foreign company which kept them from having to tear down the buildings to mitigate the vagrant problem and also from their obligation to pay the rail road for the long term lease.

Switzerland does impose some restrictions on foreign and non-residents buying property but you can still buy and several members of my family actually own property there.
