Success in this field doesn’t happen overnight—it requires years of strategic investing, continuous education, and persistence.The key is to focus on growing markets, quality neighborhoods, and building a strong support team.

Are there other players in this field that I should be aware of and consider talking to before making a final decision?

I could be wrong or out of line, but I feel like this is a field where you really need some good expertise/experience to know how to address the variety of crazy situations that will come up.

It's active in the field career training via doing. 

Building relationships with bankers is huge in the Commercial field.

I realize you're starting out so it may be a while before the lucrative legal projects appear but if you enjoy your field they will because you will get very good at it. 

That is crazy that there are not more 2-4 family in a market like Midland-Odessa with a ton of transient oil field workers that do not always put down roots.
