If it worked because of how the HELOC interest was calculated that would be best case, but it just exposes how it only works because of extra payment.

I never really know ahead of time which lender might be open to that before putting the full credit package in front of them, and many of them 'in theory' offer it, it's just a matter of exposing the potential transaction to enough credit unions and banks that a few "swipe left," a few "swipe right," and looking at the terms offered by those that swiped right.

I’d have to pay the full class in order to be done but I owe so much on it and their rebuttal is that I’ve already been exposed to the resources and tools that they offered so I guess I’m stuck with them till I pay it off.

@Tyler Bushey nice try, those of us with oil are often a mile or miles from natural gas and propane is $$$ and even if you had gas if  you have one boiler it doesn't solve the problem. 

For this reason I’ve undertaken the expense of installing separate propane heating systems in my buildings.

Distributions from a regulation d fund like this should be treated as passive income and therefore not be exposed to self-employment tax.
