its probably not much but if it is.. you want to know first hand. if this is your first deal.. its worth the few hundred bucks in my mind.Just think of all the Morris invest clients that if they would have just spent a few hundred bucks to go look at their project they would not be in such dire straights.. but if the TK operator is top notch like a few are there.. you can probably take their word for it.but again if your worried just run out there for a day.

The state of IL is in a dire tax/pension crisis and both Gov candidates acknowledge that property taxes are going to be going up as one of the best ways to try and make up the debt load the state has. 

Sub2 is Never a good idea for a seller, unless you are in desperate straits. 

While it's not a great situation to be in without preplanning, it's not so dire that your mom will become a pauper.

@Louis Bratton  Unless the current kitchen is in dire straights and needs a complete overhaul to begin with, I would say leave it where it is.

Asking prices were built before 1930 and asking sub 75k each, but all were in dire need of maintenance.

The finance company she worked for was somewhat new at it, didn't have the safeguards in place and allowed managers in charge of these REO's to set prices and sell them, apparently believing the dire stories of investors resulting in low offers that were accepted.

Installation is also fairly strait forward.
