We politely decline the offer without any counter offer.

The bank's first counter offer was terrible!

Not a disclosure, rider, etc apparently, but a 'Counteroffer' that seller is an agent.Is this CalBRE-compliant?

Any suggestions on were i should go with my counter offer or strategies that have worked? 

Fannie Mae countered and we accepted their counter offer. 

Hi All, I'm looking at a duplex in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex area; the seller has just counter offered with an addendum for reservation of the potential oil, gas and mineral reserves of the property.

I originally offered $600 (+$25 for dog) rent price for them to share a room and share a spare bedroom with me for storage.  50% split use of the house between myself and them (which the couple combined realistically probably uses more than 50% of the house) They counter offered this first month for $500 based on the current construction status of the house. 

After determining your MAO for a property, when making an offer, do you through out your max and decline any counter offers, or do you start negotiating below your MAO?

I use a contract that has a clause in it that allows me to choose whether or not I want to accept a counter offer once my initial offer expires.

And so on ....What if the seller was lying about the counter offers?
