Great day to all,I've just been soaking up all the online youtube videos from Bigger pockets one after the other and I've made the determination to scale my business massively using the multifamily addition into our (wife and I) portfolio. 

I would recommend fixing it and then determining whether or not to sell based on cash flow and profit after the sale.

I suppose they would be able to help me figure it out but I’m still trying to determine what is the best way to fund something like this and would it be better to sell off the entire purchase once split into separate parcels or is there a way to structure a deal as to where I could sell off some of the land to repay the loan/investors and also retain a portion of it to develop with my own short term rentals.

Also, I would look at rental rates to property values to determine if any areas are around the 1% rule.

Consider consulting a real estate attorney or CPA to determine the best strategy based on tax efficiency, future sale plans, and estate considerations.

Interesting, since when did it become HRs problem (or legal right) to determine that "he is supposed to have found housing already".

@Ian Kibbe the city zoning will determine if you can add a third unit.

@Srikanth KumarBrooklyn Centre near MetroHealth, Tremont with Grace Hospital and ongoing revitalization, and Fairfax near the Cleveland Clinic are all great areas with solid growth potential.

You need to decide what you like in terms of communication and then determine what price you are willing to pay for that service.

It is always valuable to be able to walk into a property an analyze cost to repair, it is a huge factor in determining the feasability.
