Certain areas of the country are  very hot these days and the prices are getting astronomical resulting in poor investments from a cash flow standpoint .

I sold all of my properties that have HOA dues for that reason alone; because the monthly fees were astronomically high and were hurting my monthly cash flow and I wasn't seeing much from the HOA to make sense in paying that much monthly.

Or maybe it's because of the age of the property which is built in the 1920s, but many homes in my market are built during that era so I can't imagine the whole city paying these astronomical policy fees.
