While I do serve in some ways in my present situation my limited time (due to working full-time) and resources (due to raising 6 kids and being the sole breadwinner in our home) make it difficult to serve in ways that I would like to be able to.With that in mind I am getting into REI as a way to eventually free up more time that could be used to minister to others and build up they kinds of financial resources to provide for my family, minister to others directly, and financially support other ministries.

I grew up in this area, but spent the last 20 years in minstry, mainly as a missionary in Rio de Janeiro.The last two months I was a seasonal hire at Costco while I got reaquainted with life in Texas (and out of full time ministry).I am researching the possibility (with Career Counselors and Coaches) of a job in Commercial Real Estate Development and Ivestment....

In fact, when we moved to southern California from northern California, we rented out rooms in our 4600 sq. ft. house and 2100 sq. ft. guest house on 20 acres, to 14 college aged girls from around the world, that were students in a ministry school.
