Just bought a two flat (6 bed, 3 ba) in Chicago's Hermosa neighborhood.

There are parts of Hermosa and Humboldt Park that I wouldn't want to walk around in at night.

Hey Steve Belmont cragin, Hermosa, Irving park, Dunning, portage park, Albany park, elmwood park, oak park, jeffeson park, rogers park, humboldt park (some parts you should stay away from), avondale, logan square,  are all good appreciating areas where we currently buy in Chicago.

@Rick Baggenstoss I will be surfing in a town near Jaco called Play Hermosa, come Feb 6th.  

The spill over effect also applied and I think still does to North Redondo from nearby south Redondo, hermosa beach, and Manhattan beach.
