If you hear from him again or an attorney, be sure to respond immediately by your own attorney if necessary.Not sure what the laws are in your state, but you want to do whatever you need to to confirm the tenancy has ended (whether that is by abandonment on his part or with proper notification to end a month to month)

In North Carolina, any contract is a sign unless it expressly states that it's not for whatever reason.also, don't be afraid to pay the $300 for an attorney to sit down with you and answer your questions about what you're trying to do.

Consult eviction attorney regarding commercial; I'm specifically a residential PM and commercial usually has different rules because of the nature of the investment and occupancy (tenant doesn't [usually] live there)
