I was looking over the forums just the other day and saw this post about rich dad, poor dad. I went out at lunch and bought it. I think some of you are right even if the stories are false..The principles and philosophy of thinking makes so much sense, and I sat there half way through the book and suddenly realized how bad I am in the rat race!! Great read for people that want to get a good way of thinking!! Also as you read this book you will start looking around and looking and people around you a little more intently..TELL ME IM WRONG! LOL Ill bet you all did it that read this book! But thanks all for the recommendation..This is a first book of many I will be reading in the future..Good read!

You know Ive been educating myself, been reading books, and of course joining great forums like this and has definetly begun building my confidence on doing it. Just sometimes things happen, somethings alot of things happen all at once in your life that tries to discourage you. I have been hearing alot about the rich dad, poor dad book and on that note I may stop at the bookstore today before I get on the train, Maybe Im not seeing this whole investing process completely three dimensionally. Thank you very much for the ideas though!

I'll be honest. I fear rejection from banks trying to get a loan due to my credit and dumb mistakes I had in the past. I am defiently open to ideas. I am not surrounded by people that can borrow me the money or are in a situation where they could be a co-signer. I am looking for ways I could convince a bank to loan me money for and income property..As I have never invested before I am dying to get into it, Just financially it looks dreadful. Please Please Please I am highly motivated for this and need HELP and ADVICE!! Email me or post on here. I am in the process of reading all the forums on here and looking things up, I want to get into this now! lol. Everyday that goes by that I do nothing kills me, mainly because I am a person that really is not afraid to do it. Now I have purchased a house by the skin of my teeth, and for more details about that if someone out there wants to personally write me and maybe school me Id appreciate it very much!

Hey everyone,

Ok there is a duplex in my neighborhood. One half is beautiful (obvuoisly owned seperately) the other half is boarded up.. It has been this way for 5 years. I checked with the village they said it was boarded up because it is inhabitabal, and also that the guy that owns it is a bum that walks around..It is not livable because (the village showed me pictures) this guy has stacked up stuff all the way to the ceiling..Plus his utilities have been shut off due to payment. However the village says they can do nothing about it cause SOMEBODY is paying the taxes and cant evict him...How true can this sound and is there a way I can find out more info on this..The property value in this area has skyrocketed. Should I try public records on the address maybe? HEELLLP! :badwords: :D

Biggerpo,

Hey no problem!! I love this site and I am telling all my friends/co-workers about it. Thanks for the PM invite, trust me there will be questions to come...I read on here the biggest mistakes investors ever did was not starting sooner..Well Im 31 and I want to break into this so bad its killing me. Ive finally found a close friend that wants to back me with money, basically Ill do the footwork, and the organizing and he puts out the money..not a bad deal huh?? Now I just need to see what our best route will be...flipping? Forclosures? income prop's? Im searching over the area now..seeing whats hot and not..I have a RE associate friend of mine, and Ive had a few talks with her. I just cannot wait..and this site has me even more motivated!..But like all good things...time and patience will prevail.!! Thank again for the warm welcome!
