Hello everyone,

I am looking into syndication deals to invest in as LP in the Austin/San Antonio area. I am based in San Antonio. I have followed some of the advice here and have learned quite a lot! I am hoping folks have any contacts in the area who have been actively doing LP investing and would be willing to meet and chat. I know the theory but would love a chance to meet people who have been doing this for a few years. Anyone know of seminars, groups, individual contacts, or clubs specifically about LP syndication investing that I could join or meet? Thanks for all the advice over the past few months.

Hi everyone, I am looking to improve my knowledge about multifamily investing (specifically syndications or pooled funds). I have read and watched a lot about it so I have surface understanding of how it works, but I feel that I do not really know much about details like tax implications , among other things that could influence my decision to start investing. Are there any resources (books, etc) you recommend to learn more in depth about this topic? Any contacts I can reach out to? I know BP has books on multifamily investing , but I wasn't sure if it was specific to syndications or buying properties on your own. I feel like I need to talk someone who is investing in multifamily rather than a tax professional or financial advisor. Appreciate your help.

Wow. Thanks to everyone who responded! I appreciate the support and advice. I definitely would like to start reaching out to some experts in my local area - I am based in San Antonio , TX but can also extend my area of interest to Austin as well. Does anyone have any contacts (ex. realtors, real estate investment companies) that I can get connected to ? I am also looking to attend local investor meetings just to start meeting people but thought I'd ask to see if any of you might have local connections. I would be mostly interested in rentals (whether single or multifamily) or even syndication companies that would help invest my funds in bigger properties.

I am new member looking to learn more about real estate. I have full time job. earning very comfortable salary. looking mainly to create other income streams because of all the "what ifs..." and because I want to gain more freedom and time. no prior real estate experience. read couple of BP books and listened to a few BP podcasts. Multi family appeals to me due to the consistent cash flow but I do not know if it is a reasonable way to get started. Given my busy career, I am interested in learning about a decent method of investing whereby I can simply contribute funds to purchase deals and get certain percentage back. Would that be similar to crowdfunding or syndication? I am not sure which terms apply here. And not sure where to start. Thanks so much.
