Welcome @Zach McKay.  I'm a investor, flipper and property management company owner who specializes in central CT.  Congratulations on your journey.  If you want to build a large number of properties, get connected with local meetups.  @Ryan Luby has a good one in New Haven already.

If you'd like to discuss anything further, I'd be happy to chat.  DM me if you do.

@Samuel Eddinger Great to hear! I will DM you shortly.

@Zach McKay
Welcome to BP!!

House hacking is a great start for being young and new to investing. What other investment strategies are you looking into?

Excited to hear more from you.

Good luck with your future endeavors!

@Meghan Carson thank you! I have focused my research on house hacking due to the lower upfront capital requirements with an FHA loan. I plan to live in the multi-family for a year then move out and rent the unit. I also see value in of living on the property and learning what property management entails. That said, I am new to the real estate world and am open to any other strategies!

Hi All -

I am new to the real estate world and looking to learn from investors, property managers, etc. I am 24 y/o and live in Fairfield County, CT looking to buy my first property...likely house hacking a multi-family. I have my eyes on New Haven, CT given its growing population and proximity to universities. I am hoping to make connections to learn more about this market, which neighborhoods to focus on, as well as learn some pro tips as I begin my investing journey.

To note, I have begun the loan pre-approval process and have a dedicated agent that is eager to find me a great property.

I look forward to connecting with you all!
